Update Galaxy S I9000 JB 4.2.2 Custom ROM

Download the CM10.1 RC5 firmware from here.
Use the link from here and download the Google Apps package.
Save the files on your computer.
Don’t unzip the files.
Connect the Galaxy S with the PC; use its USB cord.
Copy-paste, or just drag and drop both downloaded files from the computer to your phone’s SD card.
Disconnect the handset from the PC by removing the USB cable.
Turn off your smartphone.
Reboot it into recovery mode – press and hold Power, Volume Up and Home buttons at the same time.
From recovery first of all wipe the data; you can do this by selecting “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
Return to the main menu and by using the same this time choose “install zip from sd card” followed by “choose zip from sd card”.
Pick the CM10.1 update and flash the same on your Galaxy S.
Wait while the ROM is being installed.
In the end, repeat the step and install the Google Apps package too.
Select “+++go back+++” and “reboot system now”.
Done.

Congratulations, you have updated your Samsung Galaxy S I9000 with CM10.1 RC5 Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Custom ROM. Remember that this is only the beta version of the software so there might be some minor bugs and issues. Therefore, if you feel like restoring the old Android OS back, reboot into recovery mode once more and choose the Nandroid backup option.

The reason behind to post this guide, if you had forgotten to make backup before flashing any mod. you don't need to write a post for getting the files of stock one.
you can get it from your ftf file and drag n drop into that flashable.zip which one you applied.
&
Rom porter can easily get the system dump.....
Before going to proceed this tutorial you need

your desired ftf file which you want to extract.

winrar

Flashtool

ext4_unpacker [ attached ]

Instructions:

First,open your ftf file via winrar and get the system.sin file.

Second,

open Flashtool

go to Tools -> Sin Editor

click on '...' button

open the system.sin

click 'Dump data' button

wait untill flastool shows 'Data Extraction finished'

Note: the below method depends on which one you get. 1st one is for yaffs2 & 2nd one is for ext4

Third,

open Flashtool

go to Tools -> Extractors -> yaffs2

open system.yaffs2

extraction will start

wait untill flashtool shows 'Extraction finished'

now you get the system dump.

for system.ext4

open ext4_unpacker

click on the 'folder icon'

open system.ext4

select all

click right button of mouse

click Extract

select the destination folder where the files of system.ext4 will be extracted
