1. First, download Windows 8 Metro / Modern UI Style firmware from here or from here. Download the Pipo S1 .img files from here or from here.

2. Extract downloaded archives. Replace the boot, kernel & recovery img files with the ones provided in Oma_Odys_Genio_JB_v1.4/rockdev/image folder.
3. Connect tablet in bootloader mode.
4. If you don't have driver installed you can install it from "drivers" folder.
5. Go to the folder RKDevelopTool_v1.35 and run RKAndroidTool (do not change anything!).
6. If drivers are installed correctly, in the bottom will say "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb".
7. Press Erase IDB and wait after it finish press OK (it will take 10-20 seconds)
8. Then press 'Run' button. Tablet will restart when everything finish. (first run may take up to 5 minutes)

Here is the easiest to install this firmware:

1. Download Cube Win8 archive from: link1 or link2.
2. Put your Pipo S1 in 'firmware update mode'.
3. Extract the archive and run RK30update.exe, uncheck Boot, check Kernel and select kernel_maple_#117, and after your device is found by the program, press the 'Actualizar' button and wait for 2-3 minutes to finish.
4. After first boot go directly to 'Settings'--> 'Developer Options' and check these options: USB Debugging and in 'Security'--> enable 'Unknown Sources'. 
5. Follow the instructions from the video below. Enable WiFi network and add your Google account. Connect to Play Store and install a launcher and a file eplorer (like ES Explorer) to navigate to your external micro SD card and install 'full!screen+' or 'Button Savior Root' application.

How to dump current Android firmware Tutorial Free Download

Romdump is a (very) simple program that dumps the boot, recovery and system partitions to your SD card, this will allow someone who is technicaly minded to create a recovery image.

First, you need a rooted device before you can begin the process. After you have rooted it, you have download from Play Store an application called 'Android terminal emulator'.

Next, copy the 'romdump' file to your SD card and put the sdcard into your device. Copy and paste the romdump file to /data/local/ (open root browers /root access file manager and then go to data folder and then open local folder and paste the file romdump). Change the permission of the romdump file (using ES File Explorer --> Hold the file --> Properties --> and change it to 755 (rwxrw-rw).

Created a folder name 'romdump' in SD card.  Open the installed android terminal emulator app and use to following command:

su
/data/romdump

*****************************************or****************************************

$ export PATH=/data/local/bin:$PATH
$ su
# chmod 04755 /data/local/romdump
# /data/local/romdump

After you run that you can copy the whole folder from /sdcard/romdump to your PC (using external sdcard, usb plug-in, etc)
Note: if you get a error about "cannot create /sdcard/romdump/..." that means you need remove a file/folder in your sdcard that named as romdump. You will see all the things whats going on below if you see this then you will get the ROM dumped if not then follow the steps once again.

Phoenixcard is free Windows based software designed to create bootable images and write them to connected removeable drives, such as SDCARDs or MicroSDs. • Download and unzip the Phoenixcard archive to a folder on your PC. 
• Unzip the single (imagename).img from the downloaded image to an accessible folder on your Windows system.
• Obtain a micro SD card of at least 1GB in size and connect it to your PC in some fashion. It should be accessible under a drive letter in Windows.
• Browse to the folder where you unzipped Phoenixcard and find the PhoenixCard.exe file with the green folder icon next to it. Double click to launch. The Phoenixcard software will launch.
• Using the drop down to the right of Disk select the windows drive letter that contains your Micro SD card.
• Click on the image button and browse to whereever you extracted (imagename).img to, and select the file.
• Ensure Product is selected under Write Mode. Product mode will create a self booting Micro SD designed to apply a separate image to a device.

Download LiveSuit Pack v1.11 About Tablet Flasher Free Download

This archive contains the flash tool LiveSuit v1.11 and Widows USB drivers needed when upgrading Allwinner A10 / A13 devices. You can download LiveSuit Pack v1.11 from here, here or here.Driver

Now, before anything, makes sure your tablet / android device is charged up, 100% charge is nice.

Once extracted, and before attaching your tablet to your PC, run the file 'LiveSuitPack_1.11.exe' from within the Livesuit folder. This should install a new device on your system (VID_1f3a_PID_efe8). This device may show with an exclamation mark in Windows Device Manager, this doesn't matter and can be ignored. Now edit the firmware name (.img file) that you have downloaded so that there are no Chinese or Foreign characters within the filename.

Without attaching your tablet to your PC run 'LiveSuit.exe' from within the Livesuit folder. You should get an application like in the image above. You will be asked if you want to be guided through the process, select no.

Click on the leftmost icon (a cube), browse to your downloaded firmware image, and select it.

Turn the tablet completely off. The tablet should be off throughout the next process. Hold down the power button for ten or fifteen seconds if you're not sure, just make sure it is off. Charged up, but off. Connect the USB cable to your tablet and hold down the volume+ button, keep the button pressed.

Connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer (keep that volume+ button pressed - I know, it hurts by now)

Using your third hand, straight after attaching the cable, and whilst still holding down the volume+ button, start pressing the tablet power button repeatedly (approx 1 press per second for 10 seconds is enough). This procedure puts the tablet into update mode.

After a few seconds a window will pop up on your PC asking if you want to perform a forced firmware update. You can stop the pain and release the volume+ at this point. Select yes. You will be asked if you're sure. Select yes.

The update will start and will take approx 3 minutes to complete. You will see a % complete progress bar during the process and will get a dialog saying OK when it's done. It is a non-linear progress bar, so even though it appears to be stuck at times, don't panic.

Turn your tablet on and you will have the new firmware, be happy/sad based on the fact that it is better/worse than your previous firmware

1. Backup your data.
2. Download the CM10.1 archive from here, here or Latest; (uploading) extract 'PipoS1_CM10.1_v1.3.2.rar'. Copy 'Oma RK30 CM10.1 Format NAND.zip' file to a microSD card.
3. Hard-off the tablet by long pressing the power button (4+ seconds). Insert microSD card. Hold down the VOL- button while inserting microUSB cable to enter download mode
4. Start the 'RKAndroidTool.exe' found in the 'RKDevelopTool_v1.35' folder (right-click, run as administrator). NOTE: The tool should say 'Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb'. 7. Set the language to English: Hit the setting icon, 'Systemeinstellungen', Scroll down to 'Sprache & Einabe', Set 'Sprache' to your desired language.
8. Fix landscape menu buttons not appearing. Go to play store, sign in. Install Textdroider DPI from play store. Set DPI to 120. Apply. Reboot. HINT: to use back & navigate button use the tablet in portrait mode.
9. Optional: If you want back the tablet interface with bottom notification bar then download TabletUI fix v1.3.2 and install it from microSD card via CWM.

Solution: Select a menu item, highlight ++++Go Back++++, when you press the power button, do not let go until tablet powers off.
